Wal-Mart. Worked as cashier for Wal-Mart in Store 144, September 11, 2007 to September 2, 2008.

Checked customer purchases, handled customer complaints, stocked shelves, provided security when necessary, and did other various duties to enhance customer service including carryouts, and escorting customers to their vehicles.



Computer Projects

Completed several math-related computer projects using CodeWarrior IDE and Symantec C++ for Macintosh.

Polygon Transformation Projects, 1998 to 2000. Created a graphical user interface to display polygon transformations for Dr. Serge Tabachnikov, Professor of Mathematics, University of Arkansas, to aid him in his research.

Graphic Display, 1994. Created a graphical user interface to display level-set curves for Dr. John Akeroyd, Professor of Mathematics, University of Arkansas. These graphs became part of a published article.

Dive Computer, 1994 created a graphical user interface to simulate a product being developed by Dr. Chris Lucas, Director, Graduate Education, University of Arkansas.

Wrote computer applications dealing with probability using Venn diagrams, trees (Bayes theorem), numerical integration, systems of differential equations, Bernoulli trials, etc.

Text Book Project, 1997. Helped convert math textbook into Microsoft Powerpoint presentation for Mr. Wayne Mackey, Director, Mathematical Resources and Tutoring Center.



Military Experience

Deployments while in Reserves:

Task Force Falcon, Kosovo: September 2000 to April 2001.

Permanent Charge of Quarters (CQ).

Operation Iraqi Freedom: March 13, 2005 to June 1, 2006.

Operations NCO, Information Management Officer, Safety NCO, and Unit Mail Clerk - All at the same time. As the Information Management Officer, I had administrative privileges to all the office computers, and had responsibility for all computer related issues.

Managed Operations for Army Civil Affairs Company.

Acted as liaison between the company and the automation section.

Managed mail room operations.

Volunteer Mathematics Tutor, Education Center, Camp Taji, Iraq. Helped almost 50 soldiers improve their General Technical (GT) scores on the ASVAB tests so they could advance in their careers.

Mathematical Resources and Tutoring Center, April 1994 to March 2005. Student Development Center, August 1990 to May 1997.

15 years experience tutoring university students.

Tutored subjects such as Linear Programming, Probability, Discrete Mathematics, Calculus, Linear Algebra at the Mathematical Resources and Tutoring Center.

Tutoring efforts helped increase average test scores by 20%. Tutored university students in math, physics, and computer programming at Student Development.
