Dear Human Resources,
With the knowledge and experience in Business Development and Consulting, I have decided to leverage my Advertising and Investment Banking background and transition into a new role. In this introductory cover letter, my intent is to highlight and convey my educational background, current work experience, past entrepreneurial endeavors, and future goals and aspirations. My last role was a Sr. Account Manager with LowerMyBills, an on-line mortgage lead generation company managing large National accounts. I have extensive knowledge and experience in several areas such as negotiating contracts and meeting and exceeding budgetary and revenue goals. Additionally, I have experience with financial analysis, advertising and marketing, in a consultative sales environment. During my 12 year professional career, I have been in a sales capacity, either face-to-face, where I have created and presented presentations to C-Level executives or over the telephone. I have been in management positions, at Wells Fargo Bank and JPMorgan Chase Bank, where I have made executive decisions. Working at ADVO, Inc. the leader in targeted direct mail advertising allowed me to gain knowledge and experience in developing promotional campaigns, negotiating contracts, dealing with budget constraints and interacting with community leaders. As a Sr. Account Manager with LowerMyBills managing large national banks and mortgage brokers, my duties consisted of creating proposals, making presentations, and acquiring new accounts as well as growing the revenue in my existing book of business.
As an entrepreneur, I have created successful businesses, which have been very profitable. The experience, the training and wealth of knowledge I have acquired, I have leveraged into my current professional role. Within the corporate structure, I have been able to think outside the box, assert new and creative ideas to achieve revenue growth and success. All the while, staying cognitive of the corporate big picture and maintaining optimal operational control.
Presently, I am looking to pursue and explore another venture. Over the past 12 years my professional career, with Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, ADVO, and LowerMyBills, I have acquired and enhanced several skills. Now, I would like the opportunity to use those skills with your company.
