Sample manager of recruiting cover letter

 To Whom It May Concern:

Please accept my resume for consideration for the Manager of Recruiting opportunity. Though currently in San Diego, I will be relocating to the Los Angeles area (my husband's company is moving us) and am available for employment immediately. My human resource experience is well-rounded and within various industries, which include higher education, internet/web start-up.

I am currently the Manager, Professional Recruitment & Community Outreach for the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Department of Human Resources. I am responsible for: Management and Senior Professional Recruitments, and managing employment outreach activities such as advertising and career fairs.

I was previously employed as the Human Resources Manager for Women First HealthCare, Inc., a pharmaceutical company of 150+ employees. I was responsible for all recruitment, benefits and compensation administration, and employee relations. Due to the downsizing of our company and HR department, my position was eliminated.

Prior to Women First, I was employed at Walker Digital,an internet incubator, where I was Manager of HR and recruitment. I recruited, hired and retained at all levels for various new business ventures that were developed. As is typical in a start-up environment, I wore multiple hats - ranging from interviewing candidates, to coordinating our campus recruitment effort, to conducting new-hire paperwork. My affiliation ended with the company due to the closure of the office in Carlsbad.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how I can apply all of my skills and knowledge to your team. Thank you for your time.

Regards,
