Assembles parts and components together to form a variety of heat exchangers and air conditioners by performing the following duties.


  • Works in a pull-one atmosphere, often being cross-trained to perform different types of assembly.

  • Builds units from raw parts to finished product by using skills such as wiring, sealing etc.

  • Inspects all units to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Maintains a clean, safe work area with clean tools.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with company’s performance and conduct policies.

  • Maintain regular work attendance.


Equipment Used:


  • Air tools such as drills and ratchets.

  • Various hand tools


Working Conditions:

  • General shop environment, with the following conditions:

  • 95% of day spent standing.

  • 5% of day spent walking.

  • 90% of the essential functions required use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.

  • 60% of the essential functions require talking and hearing.

  • 60% of the essential function require reaching with hands and arms, stoop and kneel.

Unloaded, (from HOM Furniture delivery trucks) unpacked, inspected, assembled and displayed furniture and accessories in warehouse. During sale responsible for retrieving paid in full receipt from customer, locating furniture, loading said furniture on carts, loading furniture onto customer’s vehicle. This is done with great care, using bubble packaging, cardboard, load strapping. Before during and after helping the customers keeping the working area clean from packing material.

Using a Manual Cutting Board cut Fiber Board to size, (500 sheets), using hand wrapping, wrapped shipment onto skids, helped with the cleaning of warehouse, filled, taped, and loaded boxed onto skids for shipment.

This position, Floor Person, involves lifting over 70 lbs, keeping work area clean, working in a cold/cool environment for extended periods of time, be licensed to operate a pallet jack, have a good work attendance record, and to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Additional duties before shift begins; help to set up tools, equipment and all other paraphernalia that is required for the swing shift personnel to start work.


Job duration was accident free.

Prairie Wood

Custodial


Cleanliness of the floor, two ban saws, wood chipper, two planers and the grounds around the mill.

During the Holidays when the Mill was shut down, additional duties evolved security of the Mill.


Primary duties were to removed sawdust, woods chips, and unmarketable studs of different sizes off the working areas during operations of the Mill. Operate high-pressure steam cleaner, high-pressure air hose, shovel, broom, floor squeegee, forklift, and bobcat. Performed security duties during shut down, performed fire watch during shutdown and holidays. Fire watch was available whenever Mill Rights used Arc Welders as well as any other welding process. Was available for support for the Mill Rights during mill operations as well as shutdowns.


During shift, duties were to clean all the different saws, this involved lock down of the machinery. Additional duties that involved lock down of machinery included clearing the chipper, and clearing the conveyor chain that went to the chipper.


Job duration was accident free.


Prairie City Ranger District

Prairie City, Oregon

Timber Marker/ Wilderness Trail Maintenance


Laid out boundaries by GPSing, flagging and painting, then marked the trees that required marking according to the prescription. During the summer cleaned, maintained and built new trails in the Ranger District, firefighting during fire season, hand line around fires, back burning and logistics during project fires.

Personnel Administrative Center Non Commissioned Officer


Clerk Typist Managed Officer, enlisted and civilian personnel in the day-to-day requirements to administer to the moral, financial, discipline and training to those personnel within a battalion that I was assigned to. As a rule I was reassigned to a different command either in the United States or Outside the United states, Alaska, Germany, and Korea.

I demonstrated willingness to take charge to develop the strength of a Personnel Administration Center in order to accomplish the mission of the Unit either in Garrison or in a Field environment. Awards were given at each assignment.

SKILLS:

Typing skills 60 wpm, computer application skills, and proficient in Microsoft Word, DOS, Ad-HOS Inquires, Internet and E-mail.


As a member of the Armed Forces my primary occupational specialty was Administration. During my 20 years in the service I completed the Primary Leadership Course, Basic Leadership Course, Clerk Typist Training, and Combat Computing Course.


After retirement I joined the Volunteer Fire Department, course included Basic Fire Academy. HAZMET Course I. During this period I worked for the Prairie City Forest Service. Seasonal Training included, chain saw, qualified to fell a 24 inch diameter tree, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), trail maintenance, timber marking, Wild Land Fire Fighter, back burning, and building hand lines around the fires.
