AutoCAD Designer capable of working with engineering teams to develop and design industrial automation systems and machinery from concept to test and documentation. 

Significant experience with Process Control Systems, High Temperature Furnaces, Waste Water Treatment, and Machine Design, Power Distribution (120-600vac), Wireless Communication.

Earlier experience with both electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance has supported a greater comprehensive understanding of design applications.

Responsible for interfacing and maintaining good professional communication and relationships with internal personnel, vendors, and customers. 

Work with the direction of the Lead Engineer or engineering team to obtain and review project documentation and specifications to meet customer requirements.

Interface with shop or field personnel to order parts, resolve design changes, and/or create As-Built drawings.

Provide complete construction drawings and plans for panel fabricator, contractor, and/or installer.

Familiar with NEC, NFPA, NEMA, and obtaining zoning and building requirements.

Proficient drafting experience with AutoCAD 2D, 3D, & Electrical 2007v. Drawing types include: schedules, site elevation, plot and floor plans, equipment and control panel layouts, As-Builts, and B.O.M.’s, ladder wiring diagram.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining CAD drawing standards, project files and directories.

Knowledge and experience of scaling drawing and utilize both U.S. and Metric Standards.

Generate and maintain bills of materials, equipment parts, stock numbers, and descriptions on company database, spreadsheet, and/or drawings.

Factory Acceptance Testing and Quality Assurance inspections & documentation of control panels built by panel shops before field installation.

Experience with a wide variety of vendor products for both IEC and AEC applications.

Experience with MS Office. Excellent written and verbal skills. Good ability to multi-task.
