    Assist techs with checking in visitors, answer phone, direct visitors and clients to designated areas, assist USDC tech with UA’s and documentation. File, type and any other services that are asked of me at that time.

    Jun 2006 - Aug 2007 Business Assistant I Dubuis Hospital of Texarkana

    Assist administrator in day to day duties of operating the hospital, type, file, and assist other member so staff with whatever duties that needed attending to. HIM coordinator with filing and keeping of medical records. Took and typed minutes, inventory of supplies, worked closely with DON and Infection control nurse in filing duties and ordering of supplies.

Jun 2005 – Nov. 2005 Clerical Temporary Services

Was the receptionist for Northeast Texas MHMR(Mental Health and Mental Retardation). Set appointments verified insurance coverage for patients.  Assisted patients who did not have insurance ways to pay for prescriptions at little to no cost.  Answered multiline telephone system. Updated patient files, escalated potential patients who were threats to themselves or others to members of the staff so appropriate action was taken.  Assisted patients with bill payment and sources to find income, i.e., applying for benefits, from Social Security, Food Stamps and emergency services.


 

Aug 2001 - Aug 2005 Computer Lab Aid Texarkana ISD

Assist students in operating computer and peripheral devices successfully. Assisted teachers by incorporating computer programs, internet sites, and computer hardware into their lesson plans. As PIE Liaison(Partners in Education) sought potential new donors for goods and services for our school.  Kept in constant contact with past and present donors.  Recruited volunteers as tutors and encourage parents to become volunteers at our schools.  Kept record of all in-kind and volunteer hours.  Assisted Student volunteers (college students) in getting credit for their volunteer hours and turning in hours to professors.
