Champion Bank – Parker, CO - Vice President 6/08 –5/09

Commercial loan officer for $88M bank. All forms of commercial lending, including A&D, C&I, new construction, letters of credit, lines of credit. Hired at a time the bank was becoming more heavily involved with workouts. The bank declared a lending moratorium and is now concentrating on reducing questionable credits. As of May 1, 2009, the bank will be downsizing its lending staff.


 

First Horizon Construction Lending – Vice President & Market Manager 2/04 – 6/08

Responsible for state operations and production of a large ticket real estate construction lending office. First Horizon Construction Lending was an affiliate of First Tennessee Bank, and a profitable subsidiary of First Tennessee National Corporation. Worked a $92 Million pipeline with clients throughout the state. Emphasis on commercial construction and home construction guidance lines of credit.

Reason for Leaving: First Horizon closed operations in 24 states on 4/1/08, including Colorado.


 

First United Bank – Colorado Springs, CO – Regional Vice President 10/01 – 1/04

Regional responsibility for commercial loan, banking operations, and large deposit activity. Year 2002 “Top Gun” for the bank with over $30MM in new loans. Strong real estate lending orientation, with specialties including A&D, SBA 504, construction lending. Produced $20MM in new SBA 504 Loans with no delinquency. Housed, and oversaw, experimental mortgage lender program for the bank, including interface with RBC Mortgage. Managed a portfolio of $40MM with typically near 0% delinquency. Fee income champion.


 

Bank at Broadmoor – Colorado Springs, CO 7/99 – 10/01

Loan officer familiar with all consumer and commercial loan vehicles, including lines of credit, letters of credit and multi-collateral lending. Managed over 200 accounts to an average .5% delinquency. Fee income champion.

Initially hired to create Controller position for a multi-faceted commercial developer/builder and manage the daily operations. In January 1998, joint ventured to form Century Capital, a mortgage broker company. Thrust was sourcing residential and commercial loans with regional banks, conduit lenders and life companies. Vice President of $32 MM asset bank. Developed major commercial and residential loan portfolio with strong emphasis on fee income. Portfolio delinquency typically at less than .50%. Responsible for residential home loans, including FNMA/FHLMC/VA/FHA liaison and all facets of commercial construction. Valued for compliance awareness and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) attention. Perennial volume leader.

  • Tightened commercial and residential lending guidelines to help bank remove a Federal Reserve Board Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) resulting from several previous unsatisfactory examinations.

Developed, opened and managed six de novo Los Angeles and San Diego thrifts. Department of Corporations interface. These thrifts were an important precursor to Citicorp’s 81-branch Fidelity S&L acquisition, and were subsequently chartered as the southern tier Citicorp Savings offices.
