I was in responsible for the test system interconnect configuration and cabling design for a complex satellite test system.


 

Eastman Kodak Co. (1977to 2004)

Division: Remote Sensing Systems (2002 to 2004)

Title: Cabling Engineer

I was responsible for designing cabling for a large satellite and the test system for same.


 

Division: Consumer Imaging

Title: Electronics Design Engineer (1996 to 2002)

Invented fluidic logic film sensing system. (Patent applied for)

Invented a system to optimize fluidic systems signal to noise ratio. (Patent applied for)

Designed motion control I/O interface board (combination Analog, Interface and Digital logic) and generated all schematics in Mentor Graphics.

Mentored printed Circuit board designer to obtain a “plug and play” design with no EMI/EMC Compliance problems.

Assist Primary system Design Engineer with motor controller board with no EMI/EMC compliance problems.

Assist Primary system Design Engineer with motor amplifier board with no EMI/EMC Compliance problems.

Developed a combination shutter / aperture mechanical design to simplify lamp house design. (Patent applied for)

Helped design and develop MOF (magnetics on film) read and write system for APS (advanced photographic system).


 

Division: Professional Imaging (1992 to 1996)

I worked with the primary design engineer to develop small and large format cathode ray tube printers. Generated all schematics in Mentor Graphics and printed circuit board designers to obtain a “plug and play” design with no EMI/EMC compliance problems.


 

Division: Kodak Research Labs (1990 to 1992)

Real time, film to high definition television video converter.

Slide film to video CCD device.

 

Division: Advanced Development (1985 to 1992)

Designed and analysis of:

1) Analog I/O boards for 1st and 2nd generation still video transceivers. (Patent accepted and Technical Emmy Award won)

2) Analog I/O board for still video thermal printer.

3) Analog I/O board for 2nd generation frame store.

4) Analog I/O, sync processing for time delay multiplexer.

5) 1st and 2nd generation 8mm video camcorder.


 

Division: Consumer Electronics (1977 to 1985)

Designed and debugged I2L current controlled switch logic IC for Disc Camera.

Assist Primary system Design Engineer with design of Infrared Auto-focus System. (Patent accepted)

Assist Primary system Design Engineer with design of auto-quenching fly-back electronic flash.


 

STROMBERG CARLSON CORP. (1970 to 1977)

Division: Integrated Circuit Design

Assist Primary system Design Engineer with designed 1st all solid state cross-point telephone switching system.

Designed 13 medium scale digital integrated circuits.

Designed and built test computers used to test glass micro-reed relays used in central office PBX telephone switching systems.
