·   Dispute resolution. Help antagonistic parties talk to each other.

·   Advise on transparency, Sarbanes Oxley, IRS Form 990. Prepare reports to government agencies.
·   Advise management on statutory and other regulation of safety, health, human rights, employment.
·   Advise management on environmental matters and conduct compliance operations.

·   Attend Board meetings and advise management; prepare agendas and minutes.
·   Oversee corporate communications including marketing, advertising and news releases.
·   Advise on risk management; administer corporate insurance programs.
·   Oversee security. Investigate white collar and other crimes, serious accidents.
·   Labor and Human Resources. Negotiate with unions. Organize and supervise response to strikes and other labor actions. Managed a human resources department.
