I was in charge of running daily controls in lab as well as blood draws.  Assist with bringing patients back and entering information on their electronic charts to prepare for doctor's visit.  Run EKG tests, ear lavage, administer and accurately read TB/Mantoux tests.  Called insurance companies for pre-certification for patient testing as well as prior authorization on medications being denied.  Scanned all incoming patient results into electronic charts and routed incoming faxes to appropriate physicians to view lab and test results.  Called patients with their results and answered general nursing questions.  Had a good working relationship with patients, peers and providers alike.  Able to handle multitasking and manages time well.

Additional Information

I feel I would be an asset to any organization since I am a people oriented person and work well with others.  I also work well alone when given tasks.  I carry out all assignments given to me in a timely manner and learn skills quickly.  I enjoy working in the medical career field and would like to continue.  It is the one place that I feel I can give something back to my community.
