Closing agents for HUD properties
I was responsible for the post closing department which included recording all legal documents - E-recording of legal documents that we had access to on line. Ship 100% of lender packages on daily closings, prepare all Southwest Alliance packages no later than 2 days after closing, prepare weekly HUD packages, place all close files in correct HUD order-ready for audit fashion. I prepared the correspondence to the various County Clerks offices throughout Texas and Mortgage Companies. Scan in each day the accounting packages and policy packages. Prepared out of county files – send out policy packages with premium checks to receive payments from other title companies in a timely manner. Send out title policies to the lender/owner within the time period requested. Mail customer satisfaction surveys to HUD, made sure that all manufactured homes have Statement of Location completed and filed with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. I was responsible for posting outgoing wires to zero out all files, handle all post closing issues and making sure all post closing problems were conducted in a timely and correct manner. I also did bilingual closing when needed and traveled to different cities to close transactions for HUD properties.

I was an escrow assistant to the office manager/escrow officer. My responsibilities included closing transaction when needed, obtaining and preparing information needed on files for closing including resolving any title issues and working up settlement statements for the mortgage company to review prior to closing the transaction. I also coordinated with the mortgage company to fund all transactions and balance files after closing. Send out lender packages and legal documents for recording, clean up any accounting issues when needed and handle post closing issues.

I also acted as receptionist when needed, handle translation for Spanish speaking clients, investigated files for money or title issues and prepare files for the policy department so title insurance can be issued
