I am looking for a job where I can continue to learn and grow in the print services industry. My goal is to work with a cutting edge company that looks to change with the digital age. I also have a desire to learn all aspects of the trade from pre-production to final product. My hope is to build a career with a strong customer oriented company. I would be willing to relocate for this opportunity.

Second operator on KBA, 6-color, Perfector
Merrill Corporation
Keep press running smoothly so operator could focus on quality. I also operated the press when my operator was absent. This position also required me to operate the two 28" presses as needed.
- Prepared, operated, and maintained the KBA Rapid 105 with UV capabilities, also a komori lithrone with aqueous coating. Also used true flow and the denstronic for job set up. Prepared the presses to print by installing and adjusting the printing plate, adjusting pressure, inking the presses, loading the paper, and adjusting the press to the proper dimensions of the paper. Checked to make sure paper and ink meet the required specs, and made adjustment to the margins and the flow of ink to the inking rollers as needed. Sent the material through the press cylinders, adjusting the feed and tension settings as necessary. Watched the presses and ensured that paper feeds were stocked abundantly. Made appropriate adjustment when issues with ink distribution, speed, and temperatures in the drying chamber occurred. Fixed problem such as paper jam as quickly as possible to avoid excessive downtime. Performed preventive maintenance. Lubricated and cleaned the presses and performed minor repairs needed. Discard or correct misprinted materials, using ink eradicators or solvents. Dismantle and reassemble printing unit or parts, using hand and power tools, to repair, maintain or adjust machine. Clean and lubricate printing machine and components (e.g., rollers, screens, typesetting, reservoirs) using oil, solvents, brushes, rags and hoses. Remove printed materials from press, using hand-truck, electric lift or hoist, and transport them to drying, storage or finishing areas.

Set-up
Northern Wire
Exceptional knowledge of machining processes, structural fabrication, pipe fitting, and all forms of sheet metal fabrication. In-depth knowledge of safety precautions to be taken in metal working. Uncommon ability to follow oral and written instructions. Solid ability to read blueprints and work from sketches. Excellent ability to design components, prototype parts and equipment. Deep knowledge of training and supervision principles and techniques
- Develop layout and plan sequence of operations for fabricating and assembling structural metal products, applying trigonometry and knowledge of metal. Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto workpiece, allowing for stock thickness and machine and welding shrinkage. Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses. Hammer, chip, and grind work piece to cut, bend, and straighten metal. Position, align, fit, and weld together parts, using jigs, welding torch, and hand tools. Preheat work pieces to render them malleable, using hand torch or furnace. Verify conformance of work piece to specifications, using square, ruler, and measuring tape. Set up and operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops, such as radial drill, end mill, and edge planer. Design and construct templates and fixtures, using hand tools.
